About the book
What if awakening begins with becoming more present to the life you already have?
In Just Be, Ina Howard shares the dreams, visions, and quiet turning points that shaped her understanding of inner peace. Personal experiences open into reflections on fear, mystery, love, and the everyday practice of awakening.
Each chapter brings together a journal experience, its teaching, and invitations for reflection and practice. Read slowly, follow what speaks to you, and return when a different season of life calls.
You do not need to share every experience or interpretation to find something here for your own path.
Make room to breathe, listen, and notice what is here beneath the noise of daily life.
Meet dreams and mystery with patience, humility, and careful attention.
Allow kindness, responsibility, and compassion to give spiritual insight a place in ordinary life.
From the book
“Just be is one of the simplest teachings in this book, and also one of the deepest. It does not mean doing nothing, denying pain, or becoming passive about life. It means returning to the place underneath panic, grasping, performance, and overthinking. It means allowing the soul to settle long enough to hear what love is asking now.”
— Ina Howard, Just Be: A Guide to Inner Peace
In many of the dreams and visions, the first impulse was to understand, explain, or control the experience. The deeper invitation was quieter: breathe, listen, pray, observe, and let the meaning ripen. Just be is the doorway into that quieter way of knowing. It teaches the reader to stop wrestling with every symbol and begin receiving what the experience is making possible.
To just be is to become present without abandoning careful judgment. It is to feel what is here without making fear the final authority. It is to let mystery remain mystery until it becomes wisdom. It is to trust that inner peace is not found by solving every spiritual experience, but by meeting each one from the center of love.
This teaching returns throughout the book in different forms: observe your breath, remember that you are loved, let the body awaken gently, test every experience by love, and allow ordinary kindness to become the proof of awakening. Just be is the ground beneath all of them.
